How You Can Help

FINANCIAL SUPPORT: The Family Support Center of Ogden is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that primarily receives funding through grants from the Department of Human Services. The Center also receives funding through local and federal grants, Medicaid contracts and private funders. Donations from the public are gratefully accepted and extremely necessary in helping us provide our services to the community free of charge.

power of 100THE POWER OF 100: This unique fundraiser is an exciting endeavor to pay off the Centerís mortgage. Paying off a mortgage is a daunting task for just one individual or agency. The Power of 100 individuals, working together, really can make a difference to accomplish this goal. The Center is looking for 100 individuals willing to commit $1,000 a year for 3 years. 100% of donations go directly to pay down the mortgage. Just think of it: without having a mortgage, resources will then be used to directly fund valuable community services and programs.

DONATIONS: We gladly accept donations of children's clothing and shoes, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items and diapers that are passed directly to our families. Donated items must be new as the Center does not have the facilities or staff to sort, clean and repair items before distributing them to our clients. Art and craft supplies are also always appreciated. Donations are particularly welcome during the Christmas Season when many parents are struggling to provide for their children. Some donors like to sponsor an entire family at Christmas, providing food, gifts and necessities.

VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers are invaluable in helping the Center provide services. The Center looks to local schools and universities for interns and practicum students to meet their necessary graduate and post graduate requirements by training and working in our various programs. Help with building and grounds maintenance is also very much appreciated.
