How You Can Help
FINANCIAL SUPPORT: The Center is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that receives funding through grants from the State of Utah Division of Child and Family Services, United Way of Northern Utah, St. Benedict's Foundation and St. Benedict's Auxilliary, and other private funders. Donations from members of the public are very gratefully accepted.
DONATIONS: We gladly accept donations of children's clothing and shoes, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items and diapers, that are passed directly to our client families. Donated items must be new as the Center does not have the facilities or staff to sort, clean and repair items before passing them to our clients. Donations are particularly welcome during the Christmas Season when many parents are struggling to provide for their children and can include new toys and foodstuffs. Some donors like to sponsor an entire family at Christmas, providing food, gifts and necessities.
OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP: Volunteers are invaluable to the running of the Center and can provide services that we would not otherwise receive. We are often in need of volunteers to work in our Crisis Nursery when parenting classes are being held. Volunteers with a social work background who can volunteer long term can participate in our In-home programs and Parenting Classes. Help with building and grounds maintenance is also very much appreciated.
ANNUAL FUND RAISER: The Center's annual, themed fund raising event, held in November, is a huge success. Our guests have a wonderful time, with dancing to a live band and fine dining, and come away from the event with some great bargains they purchase in our Silent Auction. If you would like to join us for our next event, please contact the Center for information or to be put on our mailing list. We welcome corporate sponsors and individual sponsors, who make our events possible. Our Silent Auction baskets are favorites with our guests - donating a basket containing your products or certificates for your services is a great advertisement for your business!
Proceeds from the Center's annual fund raising gala enable us to provide our services to the community at no cost.
